SR-9009 is a Rev-ErbA agonist developed by Professor Thomas Burris from The Scripps Research Institute. His initial research, published in Natural Medicine, showed that SR-9009 supplementation significantly increased weight loss, stamina, and endurance, while also lowering blood cholesterol, reducing inflammation, and decreasing the risk of heart disease. Professor Burris' study revealed that SR-9009 led to a 50% increase in metabolic activity in skeletal muscle, even when exercise was restricted. Animals that were sedentary developed muscles similar to those of athletes who had been training. Additionally, SR-9009 supplementation caused the resting metabolic rate to rise, even without exercise.
SR-9009 has a much shorter half-life of only 4 hours. This shorter half-life makes SR-9009 ideal for supplementation immediately before workouts. As SR-9009 is fat-soluble, it should be taken with food, such as a pre-workout meal.
